Ben Goldsborough - First year

My grandfather, a Barnardo’s orphan, was evacuated to South Norfolk during World War II, coinciding, in 1945, with the last time anyone other than a Conservative was elected to the seat.

Until 2024.

I’ve detailed a tiny little bit of what Ben Goldsborough, South Norfolk’s Labour MP, has done in his first year in the job. (It's loads)

Zigzagging across the constituency, at its most beautiful during harvest, we spoke about his connection with the area and the people who call it their home.

I tried to make it hyper-local with shareability through scenic, wide-ranging cutaways of the area, including Kett’s Oak, where, in 1549, Kett's Rebellion began over the enclosure of common lands and the rising cost of living.

Fast forward nearly 500 years, and it seems the concerns of the people of Norfolk haven’t changed too much!
